Team UW Health Raises $9,000 to Help End Stigma of Mental Illness

Madison, Wisconsin - Team UW Health raised more than $9,000 to support the Dane County NAMIWalk on Sunday, Oct. 5.
NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
UW Medical Foundation President and CEO Dr. Jeffrey Grossman has served as the NAMIWalk Business Chair and worked to build community support for NAMI for the past two years.
NAMI was started in Madison in 1979. The organization provides direct support to individuals affected by mental illness and their families, funds research, advocates for better treatment, and works to raise public awareness to end the stigma surrounding mental illness.
