Madison, Wisconsin - Ever wonder about the science of sleep and how poor sleep can affect your health?
Wisconsin Sleep, a sleep clinic and research center, is having an open house from 1-3pm on Saturday, Nov. 4, the same weekend we'll change sleep schedules as daylight savings time ends.
The event will include tours of the sleep laboratory, clinic and research rooms and a chance to ask questions of sleep experts. The "open lab" is one of many taking place around Madison that weekend as part of the Wisconsin Science Festival.
Wisconsin Sleep is located on the West Side at 6001 Research Park Blvd. in Madison. (Map) Free parking is available. Wisconsin Sleep is located in the lower level on the far west end of the building - look for the glass atrium.
Wisconsin Sleep is also celebrating its 10th anniversary; it opened in October 2007 as a collaboration between UW Health and UnityPoint Health-Meriter. Wisconsin Sleep includes a clinic where patients meet with sleep medicine experts and a diagnostic testing facility with 14 private sleep study suites.
