Daily Update: Retired Nurses Come Back to Help
COVID-19
Madison, Wisconsin - As UW Health continues its response to COVID-19, we’re seeing all of our staff doing what they can to care for our patients and the community, including retired employees.
In the last month, UW Health has re-hired more than a dozen retired nurses to staff the COVID-19 hotline, the telehealth platforms, infection control, and the post anesthesia care unit.
UW Health human resources continues to compile lists of potential nurses who could help with the organizational needs during this challenging time. Many of them are looking to help in any way possible, and the response from those retired nurses has been incredible.
