Daily Update: How You Can Help the Response to COVID-19
Madison, Wisconsin – UW Health is grateful for how our community is rallying around the response to COVID-19. Here are a few things the public can do to help in these difficult times:
- The most important thing everyone can do to help our staff and the community is to follow the advice of state and local public health authorities and stay home whenever possible.
- UW Health needs very specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to treat patients and keep health care workers safe. View a list of the most-needed items. UW Health has set up a public drop-off for medical grade/ FDA-approved unused or still-packaged materials:
- UW Health 20 S. Park Clinic
Madison, WI 53715
Hours: Monday-Friday, 10am–2pm.
Please enter the parking lot via the Brooks Street entrance. Look for signs and/or a UW Health vehicle in the parking lot. Please fill out this form and bring with you to the drop-off site.
For other ways the public can help with the COVID-19 response, visit the “how you can help” section of our COVID-19 response website.
UW Health also needs support for patients experiencing financial hardship during this time, for food and other support to ensure our workforce is ready to serve our community, for emergency equipment and supplies required for our response, for meeting emerging needs; and for research efforts designed to combat COVID-19.
If you would like to support our efforts please consider a donation to the UW Health COVID-19 Response Fund.
