Andy North Helps Raise More Than $900,000 for UW Carbone Cancer Center

UW Carbone Cancer Center supports Aaron Rodgers and Andy NorthMadison, Wisconsin – Two-time U.S. Open Champion and ESPN golf analyst Andy North and his friends in professional sports raised a record $910,000 for the UW Carbone Cancer Center at the third annual Andy North and Friends Golf Classic on June 5 and 6.

More than 600 guests attended the fundraiser at Trappers Turn Golf Club and the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.


The event featured appearances by Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers, Former Indiana basketball coach Bobby Knight, Brewers legend Robin Yount and professional golfers Curtis Strange and Jeff Sluman.

"The generosity of Andy North, Trappers Turn, Kalahari and all those who support the Carbone Cancer Center is not only important for sustaining cancer research," said Dr. George Wilding, UW Carbone Cancer Center director. "It provides us another platform to spread the word about the importance of cancer screening and prevention. The event also gives us the opportunity to talk about the first-class patient care provided by world's best physicians and surgeons at the Carbone Cancer Center."

One of the highlights of Andy North and Friends was a silent auction that included a Palm Beach weekend golf outing with golf legend Jack Nicklaus and an evening of baseball at Miller Park hosted by Robin Yount.

All proceeds of Andy North and Friends go to support research and services at the cancer center.
