Andrea Bowmar, NP

Andrea Bowmar, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner. Andrea provides health care to patients of all ages. She helps them manage chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and asthma.

Andrea addresses concerns about acute (occurring suddenly) health issues, including colds, flu, and minor injuries. She performs physical exams and preventive health screenings and prescribes medications, as needed, for her patients.

Andrea believes in meeting her patients where they’re at. She takes the time to fully explain their diagnosis and treatment options. Andrea uses shared decision-making to move forward with a customized treatment plan that makes sense for the person’s lifestyle and goals.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with family, running, traveling and watching baseball and basketball.

My goal is to collaborate with my patients to help them make informed decisions about their health and reach their goals for optimal living.
