Mindfulness and Racial Justice: A Path for All of Us – A Presentation and Dialogue with Rhonda Magee

Friday, October 12, 2018, 6-7:30pm

In a time of widespread disruption and suffering, Rhonda Magee will explore and discuss ways of bringing mindfulness and compassion more effectively to bear on the work of addressing social identity-based bias and living in awareness of our common humanity. We deepen awareness of ways that our lived experiences may be profoundly different when compared to those of others; and yet, at the same time, profoundly grounded in our inherent interconnectedness. This is a public offering co-hosted by UW Health Mindfulness Program and The Social Innovation and Sustainability Leadership Program’s (SISL) Engaged Mindfulness Co-Lab at Edgewood College.
