Employee Profiles: Kristina

Kristina is a Patient Accounting Supervisor who has been with UW Hospitals and Clinics since May 1999.
At Work I…
…lead a group of seven customer service representatives who assist patients and insurance agencies with the billing process. We try to do more than simply answer patients' questions, but act more as a guide to patients thru the entire billing process. Our team also helps identify patients who would benefit Kristina Delzer, Patient Accounting Supervisor, UW Hospital and Clinicsfrom our Community Care program. Our goal is to ensure patients get the same level of care throughout the billing process they received during their medical care from the physicians and nurses here

Why UW Hospitals and Clinics?
UW Hospitals and Clinics offers an incredible benefits package and competitive wages. And even though our department is tied to the phones, we still are able to work in a relaxed and flexible work environment. UW Hospitals and Clinics has a great reputation and I am proud to tell people I work at UW Hospitals and Clinics.

What do you like best?
It feels great working for an organization you know cares so much about the community in which it operates.

What is your proudest moment?
Was when I looked across the room and saw the piles and piles of donated gifts before Christmas that were going to the Adopt A Family program. In the department I work, we have a special committee who helps us fundraise all year long. The money we raise is used to support multiple different charities throughout the year. It is a great boost to morale and shows what a caring team of people I work with.
