This is a great on-the-run breakfast or snack for hectic mornings. Try different combinations of cereal, nuts, and dried fruit each time you make this to keep things interesting.


Dried fruit and nuts

Serves 1



  • 1 cup(s) cereal, 100% whole-grain
  • 2 tablespoon nuts, (such as almonds, cashews, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 2 tablespoon fruit, dried, assorted, (such as raisins, cranberries, or chopped apricots)
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate chips, semisweet, (optional)


  1. Combine the cereal with the nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate chips (if using) in a sealable sandwich bag.
