Roy Jhagroo, MD, is a nephrologist (kidney specialist) at UW Health. Dr. Jhagroo provides care to adults with a wide range of kidney conditions.

Dr. Jhagroo offers preventive and clinical care for conditions affecting the kidneys, including kidney disease, kidney stones, kidney failure and conditions requiring dialysis. He also helps patients manage health problems that can cause or worsen kidney disease such as high blood pressure and diabetes. He has a special interest in preventing and treating kidney stones through dietary changes.

As a long-term partner to his patients, Dr. Jhagroo takes time to listen to his patients’ concerns. He walks them through every step of their treatment plans and helps them navigate tough decisions in order to achieve optimal outcomes. Improving quality of life is always a priority.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Jhagroo is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He also serves as the medical director of the Fresenius Kidney Care Dialysis Center and the Metabolic Kidney Stone Clinic at UW Health.

In his free time, Dr. Jhagroo enjoys biking and running.
