Faculty, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public HealthDr. Caskey earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (formerly UW Medical School), Madison, WI. He completed his residency at McLaren General Hospital, Flint, MI and his pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas, TX. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery, has been active in teaching, research and has served on local and national committees including the US Bone and Joint Initiative. After a 30 year career in pediatric orthopedic surgery Dr. Caskey retired from surgical practice and now works as a non-operative pediatric orthopedic surgeon. His special interests include treatment and evaluation of spinal deformity, limb length inequality and deformity correction.

Dr. Caskey has authored and co-authored more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals, given more than 160 presentations, posters and visiting professorships at the local, national and international level and published several book chapters. Dr. Caskey is a member of numerous professional organizations, serves or has served on local and national committees including the U.S. Bone and Joint Decade/Initiative Committee, the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America Advocacy Committee, the Pediatric Programs Committee for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and the Spokane Institutional Review Board. |
