Neil Paloian, MD

Neil Paloian, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric nephrologist (kidney doctor) and an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. 

Dr. Paloian treats children with kidney conditions, such as kidney stones, blood or protein in the urine, and kidney abnormalities. He also has a special interest in caring for children who have metabolic bone disease (mineral imbalances that weaken the bone) caused by chronic kidney disease. 

Committed to providing personalized care, Dr. Paloian listens to patients and their families to understand their concerns and goals for treatment. He educates them about the condition and treatment options, so families can share in making health care decisions.  

Dr. Paloian is happy to be a member of the UW Health team because he feels that UW Health offers the best of both worlds — world-class technology and expertise, with a cozy community feel. 

Dr. Paloian conducts research that focuses on the causes of kidney stones in children and possible new treatments. He’s also involved in clinical trials for treating children with inherited bone disease. 

Outside of work, Dr. Paloian enjoys spending time with his family — camping, hiking and cooking.
