About

Nancy Brandt, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner in hematology, the study and treatment of blood disorders.

Nancy cares for adults with blood cancer, such as lymphoma, leukemia and myeloma. She also sees patients with a range of other blood disorders, including iron deficiency (too little iron), hemochromatosis (too much iron) and sickle cell anemia (abnormal red blood cells). She provides care during all stages of her patients’ illnesses — from diagnosis through treatment and long-term follow-up.

During clinic visits, Nancy likes to talk with patients and get to know them. She invites people to ask questions and voice their concerns. Believing that listening is the key to a productive visit, Nancy works to discover each patient’s unique needs. She offers education about their illness and tries to create a personalized care plan to meet everyone's needs.

Nancy feels blessed to work with a team of specialists at UW Health who provide patients with excellent care.

During her free time, Nancy enjoys sports, sewing, reading, hiking and spending time with her family.

I empower patients with information. I teach people how to take good care of themselves, move forward and live healthy lives.
