Dr. Michael Peterson completed medical school and graduate school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and completed his residency and research fellowship in Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He is currently the director of hospital psychiatric services at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Peterson’s clinical practice is in hospital psychiatry, including psychosomatic medicine, emergency and inpatient psychiatry and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). He maintains research interests in sleep and psychiatric disorders, schizophrenia and other medical causes of psychosis.
