Dr. Swedlund holds an undergraduate degree in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed medical school and residency here as well. His medical interests focus on the care of the entire family, from children to the elderly including obstetrics. He has a special interest in procedures and strives to perform the full services that family medicine can offer. His research interests are focused on communication among members of the healthcare team as well as with patients. He is also interested in the role of the electronic health record in office visits and strategies to prevent it from being a barrier between patients and their doctors.
