About

Lauren Mixtacki, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She provides general medical care for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly.

Dr. Mixtacki cares for patients in all stages of life. She provides preventive care that includes well-child exams and physicals, diagnoses and treats urgent care illness and injuries and helps patients manage chronic (long-term) conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes. She specializes in obstetric care that includes prenatal care, labor and delivery, newborn medical visits and postpartum care.

Dr. Mixtacki enjoys getting to know her patients and their families on a personal level. She spends a lot of time listening to their concerns and goals and learning their medical history. She partners with her patients to create personalized care plans that meet their specific health care goals.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mixtacki enjoys crafting and exploring parks, museums and libraries with her children.

I try to create an environment where a patient feels comfortable and sees that I’m invested in their health and life in general.
