About

Kathryn Williams, MD, is a UW Health orthopedic surgeon who cares for patients with foot and ankle conditions. She is also an associate professor and the director for the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Williams sees patients with a broad spectrum of foot and ankle concerns such as infections, arthritis, problems caused by diabetes or trauma and sports-related injuries. She offers both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, including reconstructive surgery, ankle joint replacements and physical rehabilitation.

Whether she’s working with an athlete to rehabilitate an injury or helping someone get back to walking their dog, Dr. Williams prioritizes her patients’ individual goals. She takes time to discuss their needs and find solutions that fit their unique lifestyles. Dr. Williams collaborates with her team to ensure that her patients have the necessary information, equipment and peace of mind through every step of their recovery.

In her free time, Dr. Williams loves cycling, traveling and foraging for mushrooms and wild berries with her children.

My goal is to improve my patient’s quality of life using the treatment that fits their needs — whether that’s surgical or non-surgical.
