She cares for patients of all ages with a wide variety of acute (sudden) and chronic (long-term) health conditions.

Dr. Atwell provides care from birth to the end of life. She diagnoses and treats acute (sudden) illnesses and injuries and offers chronic (long-term) disease management for diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and other health concerns.

Dr. Atwell’s clinical interests are preventive and lifestyle medicine to help her patients avoid chronic diseases.

Dr. Atwell’s philosophy of care is based on building relationships with her patients to improve their care. She believes listening is the first step in building trust. By understanding her patients’ motivations and goals, she can create better treatment plans.

In her free time, Dr. Atwell enjoys being outdoors, working out and spending time with animals.

The most rewarding part of caring for patients is becoming part of their support system.
