Heather Sorensen is the Co-Program Manager of the UW Health Mindfulness Program. Heather began teaching with the UW Health Mindfulness Program in 2012, and co-developed the Mindfulness for Teens course. She has practiced meditation, mindfulness and yoga since 1999, and has trained with the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2000, Heather has worked in a variety of clinical, school and hospital settings, specializing in mindfulness-based psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults. She is a registered yoga teacher. Her interests include developing mindfulness programs that are responsive to diverse settings and populations.
