Emily Peterson, MD, is a family medicine doctor at UW Health. She provides primary health care to patients of all ages, from birth through the senior years.

Dr. Peterson diagnoses and treats acute injuries, viruses, infections and other illnesses and manages chronic conditions such as allergies and diabetes and provides well child visits and adult wellness checks.

Dr. Peterson has a strong interest in women's health and women's health care. She offers contraceptive counseling, obstetrics care and other specialized services. She also advocates providing rural families access to specialty care.

Dr. Peterson believes in a shared approach to care. She works closely with her patients to help them find treatment plans that best suit their priorities and goals. She enjoys working with families and watching them grow over the years.

In her free time, Dr. Peterson enjoys fishing, hunting, biking, hiking and camping. She also enjoys spending time with her family and making cupcakes and other baked goods.

I enjoy a widely varied practice. It’s a privilege to get to know families and be part of their journey through some of the best and worst times of life.
