Donald is a clinical social worker who began
practicing mindfulness meditation in 2002 to address his own health issues.
Having experienced life changing results he began teaching and sharing the
benefits of mindfulness in 2010. He has experience in community mental health
settings, the justice system, and currently works in behavioral health for the
Veterans Health Administration. Donald utilizes mindfulness-based
interventions to promote overall health and well-being for veterans
specializing in recovery from trauma and mental illness.
Donald received professional mindfulness training through the UW Health
Mindfulness Program, and the Center for Mindfulness at the University of
California San Diego. He is interested in the application of
mindfulness in healthcare systems and using mindfulness as a vehicle
for social justice.
