David Schneider, MD, MS, FACS

David Schneider, MD, MS, FACS, is an endocrine surgeon at UW Health and an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Surgery.

Dr. Schneider specializes in diagnosing and treating all endocrine issues, including autoimmune conditions such as Hashimoto’s disease, Graves’ disease and myasthenia gravis, tumors (both benign and cancerous), hormone imbalances and endocrine cancer. He uses the latest minimally invasive techniques when treating his patients. These include endoscopic thyroidectomy, minimally invasive parathyroidectomy, laparoscopic adrenalectomy and focused diagnostic exploration, which is used to evaluate the return of thyroid cancer.

Dr. Schneider conducts clinical research in hyperparathyroidism, thyroid cancer, Graves' disease and adrenal disorders to determine the best treatment approaches for each condition. He is also a member of the UW Health Physician Informatics Team.
