Daniel Modaff, MD

Dan Modaff, MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist at UW Health and an assistant clinical professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine.

As a cardiac doctor specializing in heart rhythm disorders, Dr. Modaff treats slow heart rates, fast heart rates, abnormal rhythms such as atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation (A-fib) and conditions that may require implanting a pacemaker or defibrillator. Dr. Modaff works closely with the UW Health team to create the best care plan and treatment for each patient.

Dr. Modaff believes it’s critical to listen to and include the patient in creating a successful treatment plan. He answers his patients’ questions and makes sure they’re able to adhere to the recommended plan to support effective treatment. He participates in clinical trials related to heart rhythms.

In his free time, Dr. Modaff enjoys board games, reading and walking his dog.

My hope for each one of my patients is that they come away from their visit with me or from their procedure with confidence in the clinical plan we’ve discussed. I want them to have a good understanding of why they were here and how treatment will help them going forward.
