Daniel McCarthy, MD, MBA, MEM

‭Dr. McCarthy is a cardiothoracic surgeon who specializes in lung transplantation. He is involved in ‭all areas of thoracic surgery, with emphasis on surgery in patients with advanced lung disease. His ‭interests include lung transplant, ECMO, lung volume reduction surgery, parenchymal-sparing lung ‭cancer resections and antireflux surgery for patients with chronic lung disease. His research is focused ‭on efficient healthcare delivery and medical device development in academic medical centers. He is the co-founder of a medical device startup company and holds several patents.
