Daniel Resnick, MD

About

Daniel Resnick, MD, is a neurosurgeon at UW Health. As an internationally respected spine surgeon, Dr. Resnick specializes in the full spectrum of spine disorders.

Among the conditions Dr. Resnick treats are spinal tumors, congenital spine abnormalities and degenerative conditions such as spinal stenosis, spinal osteoarthritis, herniated disks and pinched nerves.

Dr. Resnick only operates on patients who genuinely need surgery. When surgery is necessary, he uses minimally invasive surgical techniques associated with less blood loss and pain and a shorter recovery time.

In addition to his role in patient care, Dr. Resnick is a professor in the Department of of Neurological Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He is also the department’s vice chair and residency program director. His research focuses on tracking patient outcomes and discovering new ways to improve patients’ quality of life through surgery.

In his free time, Dr. Resnick is a blues enthusiast. He plays the saxophone weekly at a well-known Madison music venue that he co-owns.

Neurosurgeons are blessed with the ability to substantially impact patients' lives. We can preserve life, prolong life and, most importantly, dramatically improve the quality of our patients' lives.
