 Dr. Greenberg specializes in benign and malignant diseases of the breast. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow in the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Greenberg completed general surgery training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital followed by an additional two-year fellowship in surgical oncology at the Society of Surgical Oncology-accredited program at the Dana Farber-Partners Cancer Institute. Since completing her training, she has devoted her career to diseases of the breast. She is a member of the UW Breast Center.

Research

Dr. Greenberg's research focuses on both patient safety and comparative effectiveness research. She collaborates closely with the systems and industrial engineering department to study the role of system, team and individual performance in surgery, as well as devising novel approaches to improving performance in the operating room. She also studies practice patterns, quality of care and comparative effectiveness in surgical oncology, particularly related to breast cancer. She serves on several editorial boards and holds a variety of national leadership positions related to surgical health services research.
