About

Briana Swanson, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner who cares for adult patients with congenital (from birth) heart disease. She primarily sees patients who were born with a heart defect and are now adults who need continued care for their condition.

Briana strives to have open conversations with her patients. She educates patients about their conditions, treatment options and long-term health outlook. She listens carefully to learn about their specific needs, goals and health concerns. This helps her identify the best way to organize the patient’s care going forward.

Briana finds that teaching her patients about their conditions and treatments empowers them to make informed decisions. She enjoys helping patients advocate for themselves and their care.

Outside the clinic, Briana enjoys being outdoors, crafting and spending time with her family.

My hope for each of my patients is that they leave our office feeling safe and confident in their care.
