Stacy Armstrong, PhD, is a UW Health clinical psychologist who treats older adolescent and adult patients with mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety and grief. She is a trauma-informed therapist and serves both the LGBTQ+ and Latinx communities.
Stacy specializes in relationship issues, eating disorders and trauma caused by childhood and adult abuse. With expertise in stress management, life transitions and interpersonal relationships, she has a specific clinical interest working with women, college students, healthcare workers, older adults, adopted children, step-families, foster families and blended families.
Skilled in a range of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, Stacy helps patients improve their problem-solving abilities, increase their self-confidence and create a greater overall sense of well-being.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is essential to building a foundation of trust and respect in order to address mental health concerns.
