About

Amanda Breuer, PA, is a physician assistant at UW Health who specializes in cardiovascular medicine.

As part of the cardiac electrophysiology team, she treats all types of heart rhythm disorders. These rhythms include atrial fibrillation (AFib), atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardias (fast heart rhythms), premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) and bradycardia (slow heart rhythms).

Amanda reviews tests such as ECG (or EKGs), lab test results, heart monitors, echocardiograms (heart ultrasound) and implantable device reports. She assists doctors with heart rhythm procedures, such a device implantation (pacemakers, defibrillators). She also implants loop recorders and performs cardioversions.

She believes in a team approach to care and takes time to listen closely to her patients’ concerns so they, and their families, understand their conditions and treatment options.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys hiking and appreciating nature. She also enjoys spending time with family, playing softball and volleyball, photography and traveling.

Listening is key. I want patients to feel like they are heard. I want them to understand their condition, so together we can make the best decisions for their treatment and care.
