Fitness Center Classes Open to the Public
The UW Health Sports Medicine Fitness Center offers a diverse group of land-based and aquatic classes. Many people are surprised to learn that these classes are open to the public and are designed for individuals of any fitness level.
Group exercise can be the perfect fit for many people. Class participants enjoy the social atmosphere and appreciate the accountability, guidance and motivation that the instructor, class participants and environment provide. Some individuals thrive on group exercise to meet their fitness needs, while others complement their individual exercise routine with one or two classes.
We offer a full range of yoga, pilates and sports conditioning classes as well as Master’s swim and water aerobics. Classes are offered in the fall, winter/spring and summer sessions. Registration is currently open for the fall session which begins September 9. Participants can enroll in some classes after the class begins as long as space is available.
You do not have to be a member of the fitness center to participate in classes however fitness center members can attend classes at half price. Unity and Group Health Cooperative members, UW Health employees and employees of businesses in University Research Park receive 15 percent off class prices.
