Safe Sitter Course (Rockford, Ill.)

This one-day course teaches young teens between the ages of 11-14 life and safety skills to help prepare them for babysitting. Course content includes: Safety skills, child care skills, first aid and rescue skills (including infant and child CPR) and life and business skills. The course is taught by a State of Illinois-licensed paramedic. A female adult attendant is also present.

Course participants should bring a sack lunch.

Fee: $30

The course meets the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
