Join us for this free event hosted by the UW Health Emergency Education Center. EMS CEUs and nursing contact hours will be provided.

Who should attend?

Professional and volunteers in any healthcare role are welcome to attend. Learn more about how a verified burn center treats injuries once a patient arrives. The focus of this education event is treatment with the use of skin substitutes that assist in burn healing. You’ll gain an understanding of the challenges related to the treatment of burn wounds and learn about new technologies that can be used as adjuncts to skin grafting.

Dr. Angela Gibson, UW Health surgeon and co-director of the Burn and Wound Center, will discuss burn treatment advances and treatment options for all types of burns.
