STEMI Education for Basic to Advanced Level EMS and Hospital Providers

Join us for this education opportunity designed specifically for health care providers in our area. CEUs will be granted for EMS providers. This event is free with a light meal and refreshments, so plan to come right from work or your day activities.

This event will take you through a reenactment of a patient having a STEMI and the steps that a basic EMT through a paramedic level provider should take upon arrival. We'll discuss protocols and best practices for treating and packaging the patient for optimal care and delivery to an appropriate hospital.

During the second half of the night four skills stations will offer hands-on learning and small group Q and A. Stations will include:

  • Pharmacology
  • Approaches to difficult IV access
  • STEMI Benchmarks - A review of protocols and national and regional benchmarks
  • STEMI Mimics - Enhance your STEMI knowledge and basic 12-lead interpretation skills
