Join UW Carbone Cancer Center gynecologic oncologist Lisa Barroilhet, MD for the latest Healthy Women Community Talk from the UW-Madison Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 

The focus of this talk is to learn about genetic risk for ovarian cancers and how to prevent ovarian cancer once a patient is identified to be at risk.

 

BRCA and Lynch syndromes will be two of the hereditary syndromes reviewed, among others. We will also discuss genetic testing using home kits, screening for ovarian cancer, and the role of precision medicine in patients with a defined genetic abnormality.
