Teresa Chapman, MD

Teresa (Tess) Chapman, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric radiologist. Dr. Chapman is also a professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She interprets medical imaging and works with other specialists to diagnose various conditions in children of all ages.

Dr. Chapman interprets all types of medical images to diagnose cancer, traumatic injuries and other diseases and disorders in infants, children, adolescents and young adults. One of her specialties is prenatal imaging, including fetal ultrasound and MRI. She directs fetal MRI imaging and works closely with the prenatal care team to interpret diagnostic fetal MRIs.

As a diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Chapman reads and interprets all types of imaging. This includes ultrasound, X-rays, MRI, CT scans, nuclear medicine scans and fluoroscopy (using X-ray pulses to show moving images).

Dr. Chapman typically collaborates with other doctors when diagnosing conditions. When meeting directly with patients, she listens to their concerns and helps the patient and their family understand the best approaches for specific conditions and care needs.
