Lisa Netkowicz, MD

Lisa Netkowicz, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor who provides general care to patients of all ages, including newborns. She treats conditions affecting bones, muscles and joints, as well as psychiatric concerns. Dr. Netkowicz also is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

In addition to general family medicine, Dr. Netkowicz has specific interests in women’s health issues, breastfeeding, counseling and caring for transgender patients. When she meets a new patient, her goal is to be professional and approachable. She makes her patients feel comfortable in the clinic so they can more openly share their health concerns and questions.

As the first point of contact for her patients, Dr. Netkowicz also understands the challenges of identifying a new diagnosis. She reviews the patient’s history and listens carefully to determine how she can help. She finds it very rewarding to successfully treat a patient and make a difference in their lives.

In her free time, Dr. Netkowicz enjoys biking, yoga, cooking and sailing on Lake Mendota.
