Ernest Lee, MD, is a UW Health internal medicine doctor who provides general health care to adult patients. He treats a variety of conditions including high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol. Dr. Lee is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
When Dr. Lee meets a patient for the first time, his goal is to establish a safe environment for non-judgmental discussions. He is interested not only in his patient’s medical history, but also who they are as an individual.
It is important to Dr. Lee that his patients are invested in their health care. He believes in having an open discussion with each patient about their care options and ultimately coming to a decision that works best for the patient. He strives to understand his patients and views the relationship as a true partnership.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lee enjoys running, gardening and spending time with his family.
The most rewarding part of my job is knowing that my patients are coming to me in a time of need and that they trust that I’ll do what’s right for them.
