Ann Chodara, MD

About

Ann Chodara, MD, is a rheumatologist at UW Health. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Division of Rheumatology where she is the associate program director for the fellowship program. Dr. Chodara diagnoses and treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the bones, muscles, joints and other tissues. She also treats inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, including arthritis, gout, vasculitis, lupus and other conditions.

Dr. Chodara has advanced training and expertise in using ultrasound to guide the treatment and diagnosis of rheumatologic conditions. She uses musculoskeletal ultrasound to evaluate and manage rheumatic disease as well as lung conditions associated with connective tissue disease.

Listening to her patients’ concerns and preferences helps Dr. Chodara deliver comprehensive care. She sees her role as providing evidence-based care as well as education. By fostering open communication with her patients, she strives to help them improve their overall health and well-being. 

In her free time, Dr. Chodara enjoys knitting, skiing, playing guitar and spending time with her husband and dog.  

I am fortunate to work with a great team to help us bring the best care to patients. Rheumatology is an expanding field with new treatment options, and I enjoy the wonderful relationships with patients and families.
