Award-winning sustainability efforts

Madison, Wis. — We did it again! For the third straight year, University Hospital, American Family Children’s Hospital and UW Health at The American Center were all recognized by Practice Greenhealth, a national organization dedicated to helping healthcare organizations be more sustainable. All three hospitals took home the prestigious Partner for Change Award.

In addition, University Hospital and American Family Children’s Hospitals also received the Greening the OR Award, which recognizes facilities that have made substantial progress in reducing the impact of the surgical setting.

Congratulations to all UW Health faculty and staff who helped us achieve these high honors!
