American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Recognition

The University Hospital Ambulatory Procedure Center and the UW Health Digestive Health Center are recognized for being at the forefront of patient care and safety. As part of its program specifically dedicated to promoting quality in endoscopy, The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy’s (ASGE) Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program honors endoscopy units that meet their rigorous guidelines.

These guidelines include privileging, quality assurance, endoscope reprocessing, CDC infection control guidelines and ensuring endoscopy staff competency. ASGE promotes the highest standards for endoscopic training and practice, fosters endoscopic research and is the foremost resource for endoscopic education.
