Burn Center ACS Verification
ACS Burn Center verification is a rigorous review program designed to verify a burn center's resources that are required for the provision of optimal care to burn patients, from the time of injury through rehabilitation.
Burn center verification by the ACS provides a true mark of distinction for a burn center. It is an indicator to government, third-party payors, patients and their families, and accreditation organizations that the center provides high-quality patient care and meets the demanding ACS standards.
These standards include organizational structure, personnel qualifications, facilities resources and medical care services set out in the American Burn Association chapter on Guidelines for the Operation of Burn Centers in the American College of Surgeons publication on Resources For Optimal Care of the Injured Patient 2006.
