Senior Vice President and Chief Ambulatory Administrative Officer
Teresa Neely joined UW Health in December 2014 as Senior Vice President and Chief Ambulatory Administrative Officer. In this role, Teresa leads operational, financial, and human resource functions for UW Health Clinics with a focus on enhancing patient-and family-centered care, improving access, lowering cost through process improvement and variation reduction.
Teresa previously served as Chief Operating Officer for The University of Kansas Physicians, managing the clinical, financial and operational performance of the largest multi-specialty organization in Kansas City. There she led the implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) across the ambulatory enterprise as well as other major operational improvements. She was the administrative lead for The University of Kansas Physicians Patient-Centered Medical Home recognition for several primary care practices and NCQA Patient-Centered Specialty Practice Recognition for Internal Medicine Specialists.
Teresa began her career as a cardiac nurse, practicing at The Mid-America Heart Institute of Saint Luke's Health System in Kansas City, before advancing to regional manager of the cardiovascular group and eventually to the top operational administrative position within the practice.
