American Family Children's Hospital Vice President Jeff PoltawskyJeff Poltawsky serves as Senior Vice President, UW Health and President, American Family Children's Hospital.
In his role, Jeff has overall accountability for the American Family Children's Hospital enterprise. He is responsible for the development and implementation of strategy, regional development, fund development, marketing and community relations, business planning and child health advocacy.
Jeff provides operational and strategic leadership to American Family Children's Hospital to further its growth and development in its service to children and families from Wisconsin and beyond. He is responsible for the pediatric service line, which represents the continuum of care from child health advocacy and health promotion to pediatric clinics here at American Family Children's Hospital and throughout the region to inpatient and critical care services.


Jeff served as administrator at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent Health Indianapolis Region, where he had been since 2004. Prior to joining St. Vincent, he served as director of community health development and advocacy at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Jeff also served as the vice president for outpatient services and community outreach at Scottish Rite Children's Medical Center, Atlanta.


He has also been in leadership positions for leading health care systems such as Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania and SSM-Ministry Corporation in Wisconsin.


Jeff is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and received his Master of Science degree in public health/health services management from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He completed a post-graduate administrative residency and fellowship in hospital and medical group administration at Geisinger Medical Center. Jeff earned his bachelor of arts at Illinois Wesleyan University.
