Aimee Becker, MD, MBA
Vice President, Inpatient Services and Chief Medical Officer
As Vice President, Inpatient Services and Chief Medical Officer, Aimee Becker, MD, provides leadership in the inpatient setting and across UW Health with the goal of ensuring that patients receive consistently exceptional, evidence-based care and an outstanding patient- and family-centered experience.
Prior to her position as Chief Medical Officer, she served as the interim chair for the UW School of Medicine and Public Health’s Department of Anesthesiology where she is also an Associate Professor. During her tenure at UW Health, she has served as Chief of Anesthesia and Director of the Operating Rooms at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital from 2010 to 2014, Associate Chair for Quality and Safety for Anesthesiology from 2015-2017, and Associate Director of the Inpatient Operating Rooms at University Hospital from 2016-2017.
A board-certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Becker earned her medical degree at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, then completed her residency and neuroanesthesia fellowship training at UW Hospitals and Clinics. In addition, she holds a master's degree in business focusing on health administration from the University of Colorado, Denver.
