Our vision
Being a social impact leader
Our vision is to be a health system that creates belonging for everyone.
To fulfill our vision, we are working to achieve three primary goals – create a culture of belonging so all team members feel valued and respected, ensure patients have access to remarkable health care that is respectful of each individual’s experience and needs, and improve health outcomes for all of our communities through social impact.
Engaged leadership
UW Health leadership supports social impact and belonging initiatives throughout the organization and recognizes that all patients, families, faculty and staff deserve to feel respected at UW Health. We will continue to be open to learning and growing as individuals and as an organization. It is our responsibility, and it is simply the right thing to do.
Strategies
Learning, policies and social impact tools
Through a wide variety of initiatives and teams, we work toward our goal of a workplace that create belonging for everyone.
Living our values
The many perspectives of our staff are a strength of UW Health. Our workforce and the patients we serve include people from all backgrounds and we celebrate those differences. To protect our team members and our patients, UW Health has adopted policies and tools that focus on interrupting any forms of bigotry or discrimination. UW Health also provides its employees with various learning and professional development programs for personal and professional growth to continue to work toward a culture of belonging.
