Betsy Clough is Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer for UW Health. In this role, she oversees the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resources department at UW Health, including organizational development, benefits and compensation, employee health services and recruitment.
Betsy’s career has focused on driving organizational improvement by leveraging the concepts of high reliability, lean management and improvement principles. In her role as Vice President of Performance Excellence, she was a champion for the UW Health Way initiative and brings this knowledge and focus to human resources work. Her quality improvement experience, coupled with her understanding of our complex academic health system, positions her well to lead our UW Health human resources team as it evolves to meet the needs of our workforce.
Prior to joining UW Health in 2013, Betsy served in multiple leadership roles at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She holds a Master of Public Health degree from UW-La Crosse and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota.
