Getting Started: Bariatric Surgery Educational Video Series

UW Health's Bariatric Surgery Program has produced the following video to help you learn more about the program and bariatric surgery.
Step 1: Video Education
Watch all sections of the video below. Please note: There are 15 individual segments in the video array below. After watching one segment, select a thumbnail image to watch a different segment.
- You may review the sections in any sequence. However, the order in which the sections appear is recommended.
- You can hover over the thumbnail images beneath the main video screen to see that segment's topic, and select a thumbnail to begin the video.
Step 2: Registration and Quiz
After you have watched all of the video segments, complete our program registration form and quiz, if you are interested in beginning the bariatric surgery evaluation process.
Other Preparation
- Review the bariatric surgery Web site for further information.
- Call your insurance company to check your benefits. Do they cover bariatric surgery? What are the criteria?
- Ask your primary care provider to write a letter to our program supporting your decision to have bariatric surgery and outline your medical, surgical and weight loss history.
