Patients with vulvar cancer are seen in our University of Wisconsin Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center multidisciplinary clinic by a team of gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, genetic counselors and health psychologists.
Evaluation and treatment is individually tailored to each patient's needs, and our team is also committed to improving a woman's quality of life by minimizing side effects while she undergoes therapy.
The University of Wisconsin Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center was one of the first institutions to conduct a pilot study using sentinel lymph node biopsy for vulvar cancer. As a result, the UW Carbone Cancer Center is now involved in a new and exciting national research study that will evaluate the effectiveness of this procedure.
