Cancer of the lining of the uterus is the fourth most common cancer in women. At the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, physicians see see nearly 200 new patients diagnosed with uterine or endometrial cancer each year.
Patients are seen in our multidisciplinary clinic by our team of gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, genetic counselors and health psychologists.
At the UW Carbone Cancer Center, selected patients may be offered laparoscopy which may eliminate the need for more extensive surgery and has a significantly shorter hospitalization and recovery period due.
In addition to treatment, the UW Carbone Cancer Center is committed to improving a woman's quality of life and minimizing side effects while she undergoes therapy.
