Panna Cotta
This is a traditional Italian dessert. Serve it with fresh fruit for rave reviews. This is particularly delicious with fresh Blueberry Sauce.
Ingredients
1 envelope (7 grams) unflavored gelatin powder
2 tablespoons water
2 cups half and half or whole milk*
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt or low fat sour cream
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions
In a medium heavy saucepan, combine gelatin powder and water. Stir to soften gelatin. Gradually add remaining half & half or milk while stirring with a whisk to mix well. Add sugar.
Cook over medium heat, while stirring constantly, until mixture come to a rolling boil. Cool until mixture is warm but not hot. Add sour cream and vanilla. Stir to mix well. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Note: *For extra calories, use cream
